Mayabunder, May 27: The Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, today, held a meeting with the representatives from the Karen Community and the Karen Youth Club. The representatives discussed issues related to the creation of sports infrastructure for the youth, playground development and the arrangement of sports kits under CSR initiatives.

Port Blair, May 27: The 5000 nuts capacity Hot Air Blower type Copra Dryer has been installed and is functioning at Seed Multiplication Farm, Bloomsdale, Chouldari. The farmers of South Andaman who have registered themselves in the e-samridhi portal can avail the benefits of conversion of coconut into copra free of cost. However, the farmer has to arrange the biomass/fuel for conversion of coconut into copra brought by them.

Port Blair, May 24: A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Returning Officer, ANIPC, Shri Arjun Sharma in the conference hall of the District Office South Andaman to apprise the Candidates/ representatives of the Political Parties about the Counting Procedures, as per the laid down guidelines of the ECI, to be followed by the Office of the Returning Officer on the day of Counting of votes on June 4.

Port Blair, May 27: The Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair is organizing an Exhibition on Faunal Diversity of Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a part of celebration of World Environment Day 2024.
The faunal exhibition explores the animal diversity of different ecosystem of A&N Islands through preserved specimens of various faunal groups, LED displays, Video, Pamphlets, and Brochures etc.
