Fancy Dress, Rangoli, Cultural Dance and Wall Painting Competitions Organised by Hope Town Panchayat
Port Blair, Sept. 23: With the aim of promoting art & culture in villages, various activities such as fancy dress, rangoli, cultural dance and wall paintings competitions were organized by the Gram Panchayat Hope Town on Sept. 16. To felicitate the participants, a prize distribution ceremony was held at Panchayat Bhavan premises at Hope Town today. The chief guest, Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Secretary (Art & Culture), A & N Administration and guest of honor, Shri Prateek Yadav, Director (Art & Culture) A&N Administration gave away the prizes to winners of various competitions.

Port Blair, Sept. 23: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Committee Member, BJP has thanked & expressed his gratitude to the Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, as well as all other officials involved in the process for considering the request to grant adequate compensation to the father of two deceased children of the same family, who recently lost their lives in the same incident of drowning at Hope Town, South Andaman.

Port Blair, Sept. 23: To celebrate the rich cultural heritage of India, the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) Ministry of Culture, GoI in collaboration with Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration organized a five day’s classical dance workshop on Mohiniyattam from Sept. 19 to 23, 2022 at Andaman Club.

Port Blair, Sept. 23: ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair signed Memorandum of Understanding on September 22, 2022 for licensing a protocol for Dweep-Gau Maa Humpsore Rakshak (treatment protocol for control of humpsore in cattle). Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI transferred the technology to Mr. Sainath Shenoy, C/o Mahalasa Agro Products, South Andaman.
