Port Blair, Jan 16: As part of Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India and National Centre for Innovations in Distance Education (NCIDE) campaign, the IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair has observed the National Startup Day-2023 today, to foster a culture of entrepreneurship among youth. Dr. N. Rajvel, Head of the Department, PG Department of Commerce, Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyala (JNRM), was the chief guest for the function.

Port Blair, Jan. 16: The beneficiaries selected for availing subsidy towards ‘Construction /Purchase of New Motorized/Mechanized Fishing Boats’ under UT plan during the year 2021-22 have been informed that the time period for submission of complete report along with required documents for claiming financial subsidy to the respective Assistant Director of Fisheries has been extended up to 31st March, 2023.

Kamorta, Jan. 15: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency arrived at Kamorta today. On arrival, Hon’ble Lt Governor was received by senior officials of A&N Administration, A&N Police & Tribal representatives. Hon’ble Lt Governor took passage in ICGS Rajtarang and visited LOP Tillang Chaung.

Directed early examination & resolution of issues raised by PRIs. Hon'ble Lt Governor, ANI along with Senior Officers of Andaman &Nicobar Administration also inspected Mini Stadium at R.K.Pur, Tourism and other infrastructure facilities.
