Port Blair, Nov. 13: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) and thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Nov. 14. Due to likely formation of Low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours and likely intensification of the system into a depression, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea on Nov. 14.

Port Blair, Nov. 13: Passengers/general public have been informed that due to Administrative reasons, the scheduled departure time of the vessel Nalanda to Little Andaman on Nov.25, 2023 at 0800 hrs from Port Blair has been revised. Now, the vessel will sail for Little Andaman on the same day at 2200 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on Nov.26, 2023 at 0800 hrs from Little Andaman.

Port Blair, Nov. 4: The District Administration, North & Middle Andaman has released Ex-Gratia Assistance to the kin of the deceased due to COVID-19 with the recommended amount of Rs. 50,000/- per deceased person as per the guidelines issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, in pursuance of Hon’ble Supreme Court Judgment in W.P. (C) No. 539 & 554 of 2021.
