Port Blair, July 21: In order to reduce the physical and mental stress of Police personnel and to improve their physical fitness, mental focus and to overall boost their performance the Armed Police Unit, Police Line, in coordination with the Global Academy of Modern fitness organized a 5 days interactive physical-cum-mental fitness program from 17th to 21st July 2023.

Port Blair, July 21: Street corner meetings were organised on 20th July 2023 at public places of Haddo, Delanipur and Junglighat Junction under the leadership of ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder.
As the meeting progressed, the street corner meeting came alive with spirited discussions, displaying the difficulties being faced by the residents of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Port Blair, July 21: With reference to the vacancy notice vide F. No. 4-12/2023-R&E Cell/461 dated 26/05/2023 published by A&N Administration for filling up of the above stated higher secondary level posts of Police departments, the written test for additional subjects i.e., Computer Knowledge, and Hindi for qualified candidates in Physical Measurement & Endurance Test will be held at various centres in A&N Islands on 24/07/2023.

Port Blair, July 21: The Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) in co-ordination with Blood Center, G.B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, supported the Air Force station, Port Blair to organize a blood donation camp at MI Room, Air Force Station today. A total of 55 units of blood were donated by the voluntary donors.
The camp was organized under the guidance of Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director, A&N AIDS Control Society and Director, State Blood Transfusion Council, A&N Islands.

Port Blair, July 21: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has activated newly launched PG and UG programmes i.e. Master of Arts (Environmental Studies), M.Sc Geography, M.Sc Geoinformatics at PG level, Bachelor of Arts (Tourism Studies), BA Journalism, BA Digital Media, BA Applied Hindi, BA Facility and Services Management, BA Gender Studies and Bachelor of Business Administration. The admissions for July 2023 session is going now in both online and offline mode.
