Port Blair, Nov. 22: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has expressed gratitude towards the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for considering his request and selecting Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a venue to host one of the G20 meetings.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: As per the directions of CISF HQrs and MHA, the ASG organized the second tranche of Rozgar Mela under Mission Recruitment at Port Blair for Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The appointment letter distribution function by the Prime Minister to newly inducted recruits was live screened at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium, Mohanpura and was attended by Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency alongwith the Chief Secretary, A&N Islands, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Senior Officers from Civil Administration & Defence,  Shri Subhash Sinha, DIG (AP E&NE) and Shri Ravinder Kumar Singh, Sr Cmdt AP (E&NE) from CISF and college students.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: The CPI (M) has demanded immediate posting of newly promoted 108 Higher Grade Clerks of the Amalgamated Clerical Cadre in the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee said that these HGCs were promoted to the post of Higher Grade Clerk vide Administration’s office order No.2736 dated 19th October, 2022. He said that more than one month has elapsed since their promotion but the authorities concerned could not issue the posting orders of these newly promoted staff.     

Port Blair, Nov. 22: Shri. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member, BJP & Former State President Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands received a warm welcome at Katchal Helipad along with Shri Raja State Secretary, BJYM. Shri Jolly today as he reached Katchal in Nancowrie Island on his 05 days visit to Nancowrie Group. Jolly will be holding meetings with tribal communities and other residents out there.

Port Blair, Nov. 22: The ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has raised the issue of providing Electricity Connections in the remote areas of Campbell Bay.

In his letter addressed to the Secretary (Power), Andaman & Nicobar Administration, he said that the electric connectivity connecting with up to 41 Kms from the areas of Joginder Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar are in a ruptured Condition, which needs to be replaced. It has led to severe problems being faced by the residents of Campbell Bay.
