Port Blair, Sept. 6: An interview (demo theory) is scheduled to be held on 11th September, 2023 for recruitment of Guest Assistant Professor (AP) in Humanities Department in the establishment of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair for the Academic Session 2023-24 (Odd Sem).  The honorarium of GAPs is Rs.1000/- per lecture for theory & Rs. 500/- per practical hour subject to maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month. Port Blair, Sept. 6: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep which sailed from Vizag is expected to arrive at Port Blair tomorrow (Sept.7) at 1200 hrs. She has on board 115 passengers and 1 Infant. On arrival at Port Blair, the vessel will be berthed at Haddo Wharf and passengers will be disembarked immediately.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution will be arriving on a 3 days visit to A&N Islands tomorrow (Sept. 7). Soon after arrival, the Committee will proceed to Swaraj Dweep.    

Port Blair, Sept. 6: Firing practice will be carried out by Coast Guard at Chinthe Long Range, Brichgunj on Sept. 13 from 9.30 am to 5 pm. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their livestock away from firing area during the mentioned date and time.
