Port Blair, June 19: In order to enhance the future career prospects of Agniveers, and equip them for various job roles in the civilian sector, the Ministry of Education is to launch a special, three year skill based bachelor degree programme for serving defence personnel that will recognize the skill training received by them during their tenure in the defence establishments.

Governor, ANI, R/o Nayagaon, Port Blair who passed away on 17.06.2022. Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has deeply mourned the sad and untimely demise of Shri Elisha, age 50 years, Inspector of Police, A&N Police (Ex- ADC to Hon’ble LG) of Small Lapathy village, Car Nicobar, who passed away at GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair on 17th June 2022. He prayed to the Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Port Blair, June 19: Three positive cases have been detected, today of which, one was from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 12 flights with 1948 passengers arrived, out of which, 1662 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 221 passengers and the reports are awaited.
