Port Blair, Aug. 1: Social Welfare Department in collaboration with Pankh, an NGO organized ‘a run for fun’ on July 29, 2023 for specially-abled children and their mothers in order to promote inclusiveness. Along with the events organized for the specially-abled children, an event for other children was also organized. A total number of 45 specially-abled and 40 abled children participated in the event which commenced from Dharamshala Junction to Marina Park Junction.

Port Blair, Aug. 1: The last date of submission of online application for the post of Primary School Teacher and Graduate Trained Teacher under the Department of Education is extended upto Aug. 4, 2023 (midnight) and such online application must be verified by the concerned designated officer latest by Aug. 7, 2023. Individual applicants are requested to get their documents verified by the designated officers within 2 days from the date of applying online. It is further clarified that the intending applicants can get their documents verified at their nearest designated offices.

Port Blair, Aug. 1: The Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration invites applications from the cultural organizations of A&N Islands seeking financial assistance in the form of GIA for the year 2023-24. As per the GIA Notification, Grant-in-Aid @ Rs.25,000/- each will be released to Cultural Organizations having registered office in Andaman & Nicobar Islands with the objective of propagation of Art & Culture, National Integration and Communal Harmony and which are active in the field for a period not less than one year.

Port Blair, Aug. 1: In continuation of the Press Note published on 27.07.2023 in the Daily Telegram, it is to inform that the Recruitment Examination (CBT) for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) under the Port Blair Municipal Council scheduled to be held on Aug. 24, 2023 at DBRAIT, Dollygunj, Port Blair is postponed due to Administrative reason. Revised date and instructions for the exam will be intimated shortly.

Port Blair, Aug. 1: As a part of the celebration of 74th Van Mahotsava 2023, a valedictory function was organized in the conference hall of Middle Andaman Forest Division yesterday wherein Shri Subrato Basu, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, N&M Andaman District was the chief guest and ex-forest officials who had served in the Forest Department under various capacities were the guests of honour. In his address, the chief guest emphasized the need for planting trees and maintaining green cover as well as forest cover for the betterment of A&N Islands.
