Mr Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex Member of Parliament and Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti Andaman Unit are deeply anguished by the sudden demise of Mr. Narayan Moorthy (Retired Hockey Coach) R/o Aberdeen Bazaar Father of Shri Dinesh Moorthy (Labour Department) who expired on 08.07.2023 at G B Pant Hospital, Port Blair.

ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker has expressed his grief over the said demise of Shri. Narayan Moorthy, R/o Aberdeen Bazaar, a renowned Hockey Coach, sports fanatic and a able Hockey Administrator who passed away on Saturday at G.B Pant Hospital.

Port Blair, July 7: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has proposed the implementation of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode wherein tractors available with Panchayats in PPP mode, can be made available to farmers on an affordable rental basis.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament said that this would ensure that the tractors are well-maintained and consistently accessible to farmers within each Panchayat.

Saroja Angamuthu, Age 75 years, mother of Shri. Tamilselvan, ANTCC Spokesperson and Mother-in-Law of Smt. Mangayakarasi, Councillor Ward no. 10 who passed away at Chennai on Friday.

Shri. Halder and Shri. Bhasker conveyed their heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved members of her family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, July 7: The Indian Coast Guard Component of ANC conducted an IMO Level-I course for various stake holders responsible for Pollution Response Operations in the A&N Islands. The course was conducted by Coast Guard Pollution Response Team (A&N) from 03-07 Jul 23 at Port Blair. The Indian Coast Guard (ICG), being the Central Coordinating Agency for combating oil pollution in the Maritime Zones of India, conducts the course in line with the guidelines of OPRC Convention 1992 to which India is a signatory. Any oil spill in the seas around the A & N islands will have severe environmental impact on the pristine marine ecosystem and would adversely affect the dependent economic/ tourism activities. Accordingly, the IMO level courses are structured and conducted by the Indian Coast Guard to provide effective training to all stakeholders for coordinated response operations against any marine oil spills at sea.
