Port Blair, May 31: The 29th Round of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) Vaccination, as part of the 4th Phase of the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP), will begin in the South Andaman district w.e.f. 1st June, 2024 and will continue for one month. This comprehensive program includes vaccinating cattle and buffaloes against FMD, ear tagging these animals, and registering them in the Pashudhan Portal.

Port Blair, May 31: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on June 1 & 2. Due to squally weather, wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph is very likely to occur to be along and off Andaman & Nicobar coast. Sea condition is very likely to be rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till June 3.

Port Blair, May 30: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has formally requested the Lt. Governor, A & N Islands to address a critical power supply outage in Little Andaman, Hutbay for the past 15 days, causing severe disruption to the residents.

In his letter, Halder highlighted the gravity of the situation, stating, "The ongoing power outage has not only caused significant inconvenience but has also severely disrupted the daily lives and livelihoods of the villagers.
