Port Blair, Sept. 5: In order to ensure effective enforcement for safe and secure conduct of water sports activities in these Islands, TSETs (Tourist Safety Enforcement Team), DSETs (Diving Safety Enforcement Team) have been constituted and deployed at various beaches of these Islands by Department of Tourism. Further, Beach Officers and Lifeguards are also deployed at every tourist frequented beach for vigilant monitoring of water sports activities and safety and security of visiting tourists.

Port Blair, Sept. 5: On 05/09/2023, the Police Station Central Crime Station (PS CCS) received critical information regarding possession of Ganja by one Bappa Sutradhar, a 23-year-old individual employed as a Cook at the Chennai Tiffin Centre, located in Mohanpura Market. Mr. Bappa Sutradhar, a permanent resident of Nadia District, West Bengal, currently resides in a rented accommodation in Mohanpura area.

Port Blair, Sept. 5: In view of the inclement weather condition, the Electricity Department has appealed to the consumers to pass information to the nearest Site Office, if they observe flash, abnormal sound in power system so that the technical team can reach and solve the problem. The falling and snapping of line could be dangerous. Hence, the citizens have been requested to stay away from the snapped lines and also report such happenings to the nearest Site Offices, Police Stations, Fire Brigade so that safety measures can be taken.
