All the history sheeters are being continuously monitored and raids are being conducted.

Port Blair, March 1: CPI (M) South Andaman Rural Area Committee has conducted corner meetings at various parts of rural South Andaman and a public meeting at Ferrargunj junction on 28.02.2023. Addressing the public meeting at Ferrargunj junction D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee expressed concern over the increasing drugs availability in the islands and the inability of the authorities concerned to contain it despite the media in the islands exposing it. Drugs are brought to the islands by anti-social elements in a systematic manner for distribution among the people especially among young generation.

Port Blair, March 1: To celebrate ‘5th Poshan Pakhawada’, a ‘Poshan Rally’ was conducted under ICDS Project Rangat today. The rally was flagged off by the Assistant Commissioner, Rangat Sub Division, Smti. Sapna Priya, along with Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Rangat, Smti S Laxmi Devi. The objective of the celebration of ‘Poshan Pakhawada’ is focused on ‘Bharatiya Poshan Krish Kosh’ and ‘Growth Monitoring’. Poshan Abhiyaan aims to address the challenge of malnutrition in a mission mode and also facilitate outdoor publicity through flipbook. The rally was participated by CDPO Rangat, Mukhya Sevikas, Poshan Abhiyaan Staff, PMMVY Staffs, ICDS Staffs and Anganwadi Workers/Helpers under ICDS Project Rangat.

Mayabunder, March 1: Continuing its crackdown on the illicit liquor, Handia, & illegal sale of IMFL, the District Police of North & Middle Andaman with the help of local informers conducted regular raids and searches in jungles. During the month of February-2023, the teams of various Police Stations, headed by SHOs and Sub-Inspectors conducted raids & massive jungle search operation.

Port Blair, March 1: To ensure availability of safe & hygienic food to the general public, the officials of Food Safety Department conducted a drive to check the quality & hygiene standard of various food articles exhibited/manufacturing for sale at various parts of South Andaman District. Inspections were conducted at restaurants and hotels, grocery shops, bake houses, poultry shops, street food vendors/ hawkers, fish vending market. 12 food samples were collected for its analysis.
