Port Blair, Oct. 6: Submission of online application forms for admission to Two Years B.Ed. Degree Programme for the academic session 2022-23 in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair has commenced from 14th September 2022. Now, due to non-receipt of results by JNRM as informed by its Principal, the last date for submission of online application forms for admission to Two Years B.Ed. Degree Programme for the academic session 2022-23 has now been extended from 7th October to 30th October 2022.

Port Blair, Oct. 3: It was a proud moment for the entire Andaman and Nicobar Islands when the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India in a national function held on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas commemorating the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October, 2022 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi declared the UT of A&N Islands as the first ranked UT under Swachh Survekshan Grameen in the Smaller States/UTs category.  The award was conferred by Hon'ble President of India, Smti. Draupadi Murmu yesterday. Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration along with Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary (RD/Panchayat) received the award. The Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat along with Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj , Shri Giriraj Singh, Minister of State for Jal Shakti & Tribal Affairs, Shri Bishweswar Tudu and Minister of State for Jal Shakti & Food Processing Industries, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Ms. Vini Mahajan, IAS, Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation were also present .

MV Campbell Bay will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 08.10.2022 (Sat) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 10.10.2022 (Mon) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry. Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued to the general public from 06.10.2022 (Thu) onwards at STARS Ticketing Counter, Phoenix Bay.

NOTE: Passengers travelling to Southern Group of Islands are required to get verified/endorsed their tickets from Covid Testing/ Verification Centers before boarding the vessel. Passenger will be not allowed to board the vessel in absence of verification/ or Negative RTPCR Test Report provided from the RTPCR testing Centre, Port Blair.
