Port Blair, April 22: “Prime Minister’s Scheme for Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME)” is being implemented in the Islands under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan with the aim to enhance the competitiveness of existing individual micro enterprises in the unorganized segment of the food processing industry and to promote formalization of the sector. Capacity Building is one of the important components of PM FME scheme for the aspiring entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups /Farmer Producers Organization /Cooperatives, workers and other stakeholders connected with food processing sector or doing food business in the Islands.

Port Blair, April 22: The First Sub- Committee of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language headed by its Chairman, Shri Ramchander Jangra held review meetings with the officials of A&N Administration regarding the implementation of the Official Language Policy in the conference hall of the Hotel Sinclair’s Bay View here today. The other Members of the Committee present in the meeting were Shri Shyam Singh Yadav, Shri Dharmendra Kashyap and Shri Iranna Kadadi.

Port Blair, April 22: In order to spread Road Safety awareness among the college students, a road safety awareness programme was conducted on 21.04.2022 at ANCOL by A&N Traffic Police. The College Principal, faculties and about 300 students participated in the programme. While addressing the students, Shri. Abhishek Gupta, DANIPS, Dy. SP (Traffic) expressed serious concern over the rising cases of Drunken Driving in the city. He also emphasized the ill effects of Drunken Driving and its financial and psychological effects on the entire family in the event of a major accident and appealed to obey traffic rules.
