Port Blair, Feb 8: All the Political Parties/Independent Candidates are informed that a Single Window System for the purpose of issuance of Loud Speaker/Mike/Rally/Vehicle permission, etc. under Rangat Tehsil has been set-up at the premises of Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, Rangat. The Single Window counter shall be operational on all days from 0900 Hrs. to 1700 Hrs.

Port Blair, Feb. 8: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 159 passengers who arrived here yesterday, 3 positive cases have been detected. Today, 7 flights with 876 passengers arrived, out of which, 738 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 134 passengers (10 foreign travellers) and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Feb 6: Considering the problems being faced by all stakeholders of Andaman Tourism and also to promote Tourism in a professional manner for the overall development of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, ANI to order re-opening of all Tourism Spots in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Port Blair, Feb. 8: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,05,553 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 22,893 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years against the target beneficiaries of 23,000.The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 7102.

Port Blair, Jan 7: A joint delegation of various associations viz. Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Grain Dealers Association, Hoteliers Association, A&N Islands, Andaman Association of Tour Operators, Ship Owners Association, Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Boat Owners Association, Andaman Bar Owner Association, FOATO and Laghu Udyog Bharati, met Shri Satya Kumar, National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janta Party on 6th February 11:00 am at Hotel Divyum Manor. The delegation submitted a representation and explained the difficulties being faced by all the stake holders of the tourism industry due to the sudden closure of all tourist places.
