South Andaman Police Chalks Out Weeklong Programme to Mark International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Port Blair, June 19: The day 26th June of every year is marked as ‘International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’. In order to observe this day in befitting manner and to aware the ill effects of psychotropic substance, the South Andaman Police is organizing a week long campaigns from 20th June to 26th June, 2020 in various Police Stations & Units of South Andaman District.

June 21 is celebrated as International Day of Yoga, but as we celebrate and observe the day when the whole world is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has started a campaign called “Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family”, to encourage the practice of Yoga to counter the effects of the viral infection, as well as to stay healthy overall, while practising all precautionary measures.
