Port Blair, Jan 27: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to direct the concerned departments to resume ‘Line-Boat’ between Port Blair and Rangat via Shaheed Dweep, Swaraj Dweep and Long Island, twice a week.

Port Blair, Jan 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party, State President, Shri Ajoy Bairagi today wrote to Chief Secretary regarding delay in issuance of Kissan Credit Cards to farmers. In his letter he mentioned during in his recent visit to North & Middle Andaman, a group of farmers raised this important issue of delay in issuance of Kissan Credit Card.
He mentioned that more than 300 farmers have filled the form and submitted with Agriculture Department but of no use as the farmers are still waiting for their credit cards more or less this is the same conditions across Islands. He stated that on enquiry it was found that Credit Cards are ready and with the bank, which fails to make sense that why the card are being held and not distributed.

Port Blair, Jan 27: A ceremonial parade was conducted to commemorate 73rd Republic Day on 26 Jan 2022 at Netaji Stadium, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The parade was reviewed by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM, NM (Retd) Chief Guest for the parade of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The parade was led by Lt Cdr Sandeep R of the Indian Navy comprising of contingents from Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and A&N Police.

Port Blair, Jan 27: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder on Thursday wrote a letter to the Chief General Manager, BSNL and requested him to install a BSNL Tower at Shyamkund Village, Bakultala Panchayat .
In the letter, Mr. Halder highlighted the CGM about the plight of Shyamkund, Ullidera and Bangaon villagers. He said that there is no network facility in these villages since past 30 years.

Port Blair, Jan 27: More than 40 youths have joined NSUI in a programme held at Bambooflat on the eve of Republic Day. They were welcomed into the party fold by NSUI State President Mr. M.A Sajid in the presence of ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker and DCC President South Andaman Mr. V.K Abdul Aziz.
