Port Blair, March 30: The Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) invites National Level ‘India Water Pitch-Pilot-Scale Start-up Challenge’ under AMRUT 2.0, Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs with the aim of encouraging start-ups to address challenges in the urban water sector. Following areas are eligible to participate:

1) Fresh water systems     

2) Hydro informatics – use of water

Port Blair, March 30: This is for the information of the passengers/general public that the vessel MV Bharat Seema will sail for Diglipur via Mayabunder on 02.04.2022 (Sat) at 1700 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on 03.04.2022 (Sun) at 1400 Hrs from Diglipur via Mayabunder.

Port Blair, March 30: The Chairperson, PBMC, Smti.Kavitha Udhaya Kumartoday invited the Committee of Andaman Nicobar Rajay Karamchari Mahasangh along with the delegates of Nagarpalika Swachhtha Karamchari Sangh to deliberate welfare issues pertaining to Sanitary Workers working in the Port Blair Municipal Council. The delegation at first felicitated the Chairperson and expressed happiness on being elected to the office of the Chairperson, PBMC. The delegation put forth issues related to the Sanitary Mazdoors and after a composed hearing, flagged the points on immediate resolution and a time chart has been prepared for early resolution of the issues raised by the Committee. The Civic Chief assured every possible help from her office and is committed towards the welfare of the Work Force of the Port Blair Municipal Council

Port Blair, March 30: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,10,125 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,330 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs and 9183 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 10289.
