Port Blair, April 26: The Science Centre, located at Goodwill Estate, Corbyn’s Cove Road, Port Blair is organizing ‘Holiday Camp’ for the benefit of the students studying in Class VI to VIII from May 2 to 31, 2024.The training shall be imparted to the participants in various trades/disciplines viz. Aero Modeling, Creative Science, Ship Building, Fun Mathematics, Robotic Science, Model Rocketry, Fun Chemistry & Astronomy &Telescope making. The camp is earmarked weekly for two subjects, during which, the subject will be dealt in detail with hands on experiments. The classes shall be conducted from 9.15 am to 1 pm.

Port Blair, April 26: The Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, A & N Administration as per the order of the Hon’ble Court is organizing the second phase of Special Camps from April 22, 2024 onwards for identification and issuance of Ration Card to those eligible left out migrant labourers residing in this UT who have been registered on e-Shram portal of the Labour Department and have not yet received Ration Card either in their native States/UTs or in the UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency chaired the second Interactive Meeting at Raj Niwas today to review modalities to create a proposed SCUBA Diving World Record by Divers in A&N Islands to promote the Islands as a premium Diving and Tourist destination in the Indian Ocean Region.

Port Blair, April 26: The Department of CS&CA has extended the last date for doing e-KYC for FIC holders’ upto 31st March. However, it is noticed that despite repeated request and all possible effort, there are considerable number of beneficiaries who have not yet approached their Fair Price Shops or the Department of CS&CA and respective Supply Units functioning in the Inter Islands for updating their e-KYC.

Port Blair, April 25: Indian Coast Guard Ship Samudra Paheredar arrived at Port Blair, on successful completion of its Overseas Deployment (OSD) to the ASEAN countries, namely Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei. The ship’s deployment to the Southeast Asian nations is in pursuance of Indian-ASEAN Initiative for Marine pollution announced in the year 2022 in Combodia during the ASEAN Defence Minister Plus Meeting. The visit not only showcased India’s commitment to maritime security but also fostered closer ties with regional partners.
