Port Blair, Aug 11: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Centre, Port Blair has sent a SMS to the learners of January, 2022 session (Fresh & RR) to collect their study materials from the Regional Centre during its working hours. Learners who have received the SMS and till date has not collected their study materials are advised to collect the same immediately.

Port Blair, Aug. 11: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,94,516 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23923 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 707 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 166340.

INTER ISLAND SECTOR:

MV Campbell Bay will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 18.08.2022 (Thu) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 20.08.2022 (Sat) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 18.08.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, Aug. 11: Three positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 2 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 9 flights with 1378 passengers arrived, out of which, 894 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 110 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, Aug 10: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to resume the night bus service of STS from Diglipur to Port Blair.
