Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency called on Hon'ble Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah at New Delhi on 09.08.2022. Discussed Projects being executed by A&N Administration independently during last 5 years. Also, on completion of five years of constitution of Islands Development Agency, reviewed current status & progress of Infrastructure/Hospitality/ Tourism/Strategic mega projects in A&N Islands through its aegis- in particular the substantial & unprecedented Investments in A&N Islands consequent to these initiatives.

Port Blair, Aug 10: The Tourist Vehicle Owner’s Association, A&N Islands in collaboration with District Administration, South Andaman and Department of Tourism, A & N Administration has conducted a “NATIONAL FLAG RALLY” on 10/08/2022 under “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign”, the Government of India initiative to inculcate a personal connect between the citizens of India and the National Flag marking the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from National Memorial Cellular Jail to Gandhi Statue, Aberdeen Bazaar.

Port Blair, Aug 10: Communist Party of India (Marxist), Andaman and Nicobar State Organising Committee has organized a Seminar on “Role of Communists in Freedom Struggle” today (10.08.2022) evening at Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali, Port Blair. Inaugurating the Seminar, Shri KG Das, former Secretary of the CPI (M) State Organising Committee said that Communists and other revolutionaries in the country had played an important role in the freedom struggle of the country.
