Port Blair, Sept. 14: Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India noted as the world’s largest health assurance program under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI. This scheme was launched on 23rd September, 2018 with an aim to provide cashless treatment worth Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization expenses. PMJAY Card issued to the eligible beneficiaries empowers the beneficiary to avail treatment in empanelled Public and Private Hospitals across the country.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: The South Andaman District Committee President and its Office bearers today assumed the charge at Gandhi Bhavan in the presence of Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma. On the occasion hundreds of party cadres, senior leaders, Congress ward Councilors, Pradhans, PRI's, members of Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, INTUC, NSUI, Seva Dal and various Block Committee members were present to greet the new committee of the District Congress.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: It is a moment of pride for the A&N Administration, as Miss Techa hailing from the Andamanese tribal community became the first from her tribe to have successfully cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) (UG)-2022. To encourage and congratulate Ms Techa for her outstanding achievement, the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS today felicitated her for the glorious success. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Airport Director of VSI Airport Port Blair to provide seating, drinking water and toilet facilities at the existing Airport Building for all Drivers and other Tour operators staff, who have to visit Airport Daily to pick up guests.
