
Gwalior, Jan. 12: Under the Department of Education (Social Science) NCERT, the National Population Education Project (NPEP) organized National Role Play and Folk-Dance Competition at Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Shakti Nagar, Mela Road, Gwalior, from Jan. 6 to 9.
The State Level winner team of Role Play & Folk Dance participated in the National Role Play and Folk-Dance Competition in which A&N Islands secured second position at the National Level Folk Dance with a powerful performance based on the theme ‘Gender Equality.’ The achievement has brought laurels to the Island and reflects the students’ dedication, teamwork, and commitment to promoting social awareness through cultural expression.
The participants of Folk Dance were Sri Shana, Saina Halder, Anshu Pandey, P. Vinitha, Isha Mondal, and Sneha Shastri of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Aberdeen. The students were choreographed and trained by Smt. V. Radhika, CI (Dance), with support from Ms. Sridevi M, Lab Assistant, GMSSS, Aberdeen.
The National-level competition under the NPEP project was coordinated by Shri Tarpan Sarkar, staff, Office of the Deputy Director Education (Science).
