Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 6: The Labour Department had earlier published the Draft Rules under all four Labour Codes, viz. The Code on Wages, 2019; The Industrial Relations Code, 2020; The Code on Social Security, 2020; and The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, on the official website of the Labour Department (https://labour.and.nic.in/) on 28.01.2026, 16.02.2026, 13.04.2026 and 02.06.2026, respectively, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected by the proposed Rules within 45 days from the respective dates of publication.
However, no objections or suggestions were received from any person within the stipulated period in response to the aforesaid publications.
The Labour Department is now in the process of finalizing and notifying the Rules under all four Labour Codes. As part of this process, and with a view to providing one further opportunity to all stakeholders, including employers, employees, trade unions, establishments and other persons likely to be affected by the proposed Rules, the Department hereby invites further objections and suggestions, if any, in respect of the Draft Rules under all four Labour Codes.
Therefore, all concerned have been requested to submit their objections and suggestions, if any, within 10 days from the date of publication of this Press Release, to the Office of the Labour Commissioner, Labour Department, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Supply Line, Sri Vijaya Puram – 744101, or via email at lcdet@and.nic.in.
It is clarified that objections and suggestions received after the expiry of the aforesaid period of 10 days may not be considered by the Department.
All stakeholders and other concerned persons are, therefore, requested to avail themselves of this final opportunity to submit their views and suggestions to enable the Department to finalize the Rules under the four Labour Codes accordingly.
