Sri Vijaya Puram, July 4: All the Traders, Auto Rickshaw Owners/Drivers, Bar Establishments and other concerned Govt./Semi Government Establishments of Swaraj Dweep & Shaheed Dweep Islands have been informed that Legal Metrology Officer along with the team of the Directorate of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs shall camp at Swaraj Dweep on 07.07.2026 & 08.07.26 and at Shaheed Dweep on 09.07.26 for verification and stamping of all the Weighing & Measuring Instruments used in the said area.
Further, it is for the information of the concerned that in case anyone found using unverified/faulty weighing & measuring instruments at Swaraj Dweep & Shaheed Dweep Islands after the above stipulated time will be viewed seriously and stringent legal action as prescribed under law shall be initiated against them.
