Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 11: Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Dr. Dinesh Sharma Ji was paid a courtesy call by Shri Jitendra Kumar, Executive Director of the Eastern Region and State Head of the West Bengal State Office of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Indian Oil), along with Shri Pravesh Ranjan Jha, Secretary (CS&CA), at Lok Niwas, Sri Vijaya Puram.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on arranging four new vessels to ensure the uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, strengthening the LPG distribution system, and enhancing LPG storage capacity to meet the requirements of up to 90 days. The appointment of new LPG distributors to make the Public Distribution System (PDS) for LPG more effective was also discussed.
The meeting aimed at ensuring the regular availability of petroleum products and LPG across the Islands, further strengthening the supply chain, and providing better and uninterrupted services to the general public.
