Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 15: Model Career Centre conducted an outreach programme for the dropout students of Shore Point Panchayat on Dec. 11. The programme aimed to identify school dropouts, understand the reasons behind discontinuation, and motivate them to take up various skill development courses, vocational training, and other career-oriented opportunities offered through the Employment Exchange.
About 30 participants attended the session, including students, parents, and community members. The participants were briefed on available skill training programmes under various Government schemes, registration and support provided through the Employment Exchange, Career guidance, counselling, and placement assistance and opportunities for apprenticeships and short-term courses.
The interaction was positive, and many students showed willingness to enrol in suitable training programmes. The Panchayat representatives also assured support in mobilising more youths for upcoming initiatives.
