Campbell Bay: A Health Camp-cum- Ayushman Arogya Shivir was conducted by the Medical Team of PHC Campbell Bay at outreach Area Makachua on 20.08.2026 with the objective of providing comprehensive healthcare services, health screening, health awareness, and preventive healthcare to the local residents.
During the programme, Dr. Juliet James, Medical Officer, explained in detail the importance of maintaining good health and adopting preventive health measures. Various healthcare services were provided during the camp, including general health check-up, medical consultation, dental check-up and consultation, homeopathic consultation, health education, preventive healthcare guidance.
As part of the TB screening activity, a total of 5 TB presumptive cases were identified, and sputum samples were collected from all 5 presumptive cases for further testing and diagnosis. The beneficiaries were also counselled regarding TB symptoms, early diagnosis, timely treatment, treatment adherence, and prevention of TB transmission.
The Health programme helped in providing accessible healthcare services and strengthening awareness regarding preventive healthcare, TB screening and early detection, healthy lifestyle, regular health check-ups, and timely medical consultation and treatment among the residents of Makachua.
