Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 27: The meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) for North & Middle Andaman District was held today in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray who is also the Chairperson of DISHA.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, welcomed the Hon’ble Chairperson along with the esteemed Members of the Committee and senior officers from various line departments. During the meeting, the progress of all schemes being implemented by various line departments in North & Middle Andaman District was reviewed in detail. The Committee deliberated on the implementation status, physical and financial progress, inter-departmental coordination and measures required to ensure effective and timely delivery of benefits to the public. The Hon’ble Chairperson emphasized close monitoring, transparency and expeditious completion of works and issued necessary directions to the concerned departments.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all directions and recommendations of the Committee would be complied with in a time-bound manner. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
