MESSAGE

National Doctors Day is observed across the country on 1st July every year to honour the legacy of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy – a Bharat Ratna awardee, former Chief Minister of West Bengal and an eminent physician. On this special day, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation to all the doctors serving in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Your unwavering dedication, compassion and commitment to delivering quality healthcare—especially in remote and inaccessible areas of the islands— is truly commendable.

This year, the occasion carries even greater significance as we reflect on the extraordinary efforts of our medical professionals in the face of unprecedented challenges. The recent global health crisis has underscored the critical role of doctors in protecting and sustaining our communities. Your resilience, innovation and steadfast spirit have served as a beacon of hope and strength for countless lives.

As we commemorate National Doctor’s Day, let us unite in expressing our sincere appreciation for the doctors who work tirelessly to heal, comfort and save lives. Your selfless service and pursuit of excellence in healthcare continue to inspire us all and enrich our society.

Once again, I extend my deepest respect and gratitude to all doctors for their remarkable dedication. May you continue to serve humanity with the same zeal, compassion and commitment that defined your efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
