
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 8: An Awareness Session on Suicide Prevention was organized in the Conference Hall of MGCC, Mayabunder, today on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day with the objective of creating awareness among students about suicide prevention, mental health, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking timely support.
The session featured a team of resource persons comprising Dr. Aathira J. Prakash, Psychiatrist who interacted with the students and conducted a few engaging activities aimed at promoting self-awareness and encouraging open discussion on emotional well-being. Ms. Prerna, Clinical Psychologist and Shri Surajit Roy, Psychiatric Social Worker as resource persons shared valuable insights on mental health, emotional challenges, early identification of distress, and the importance of reaching out for professional help and support.
