Car Nicobar, June 2: As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), the IRCAs Nicobar District under Social Welfare Department organized a Mini Marathon today. The event was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner (Nicobar), Chairperson (IRCAs), Shri Amit Kale, IAS from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and concluded at BJR Stadium Tamaloo, Car Nicobar.
The Deputy Commissioner in his address, emphasized the importance of a Drug Free Society and encouraged youth participation in such constructive activities. He applauded the efforts of the organizers and participants in spreading awareness through fitness.
The Child Development Project Officer (Tribal Project), Car Nicobar, Smti Sunita Kumari also addressed the gathering, highlighting the role of early intervention and community support in preventing substance abuse. She encouraged continued collaboration among Police and Health Departments to strengthen the impact of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initiative.
