Much Awaited Island Tourism Festival – 2026 to be Organised from 27th December

 Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 6: The Island Tourism Festival–2026 is scheduled to be organised by the Tourism Department, A&N Administration from 27th to 31st December, 2026. As part of ITF-2026, the Art & Culture Department, A&N Administration will be presenting cultural programmes at various venues across the A&N Islands.

In this regard, applications have been invited from local cultural associations and organizations of A&N Islands interested in performing during the ITF. Each group is required to submit details of at least four to six cultural programmes, with a minimum duration of 30 minutes for dance performances and 45 minutes to 1 hour for singing performances per occasion. This will enable the Programme Selection Committee to assess and select from a diverse range of performances for presentations at different venues.

Participating artists must be 8 years of age or above and each group must consist of a minimum of 8 members and a maximum of 15 members per venue. A self-certificate must be submitted along with the application, confirming the group’s willingness to perform at any of the designated venues during the festival as allotted by this Department. Non-compliance may result in withdrawal from participation in the cultural programmes during the ITF and may be reviewed by the Department when considering future programmes. The applications must be submitted by 4:00 PM of 6th November 2026 either in person at the Directorate of Art & Culture, Cellular Jail Complex, Atlanta Point, Sri Vijaya Puram or via email to artand.culture@and.nic.in. The Programme Selection Committee will select programmes for different venues during the rehearsals to be conducted on 11th and 12th November 2026 for dance groups and 13th November 2026 for singing groups at Andaman Club from 2 to 7 PM. The Department encourages presentation of classical, semi-classical, traditional and folk dances along with related musical forms such as bhajans, qawwalis and folk songs from different states.

The participants have been asked to be present before the Selection Committee to showcase their performances as per the above-mentioned date and time.
