Diglipur, Sept. 14: Acting on reliable information, a police team of PS Diglipur conducted a late-night raid at Sitanagar, Diglipur, on 12.09.2026. During the operation, the team intercepted one individual, a resident of Shantanu, Kadamtala.
Upon search, approximately 270 grams of suspected heroin was recovered from his possession. The substance was tested on the spot using a drug detection kit and yielded a positive result for heroin. The contraband was duly seized and taken into police custody following the prescribed legal procedures.
The accused was arrested under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985 and further investigation is in progress.
