National Webinar on ‘Introduction to Naturopathy and its Principles’ Organised for AYUSH Health Professionals

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 23: As part of the 8th Naturopathy Day celebrations, the Directorate of Health Services and the A & N State AYUSH Society, organized a National Webinar on ‘Introduction to Naturopathy and its Principles’ on 12th November, 2025 for Ayush Health Professionals. This year the theme for Naturopathy Day is “Losing Weight Naturally through Naturopathy.” The Secretary (Health) & MD (NHM & NAM), A&N Administration, Ms. Richa inaugurated the webinar and addressed the gathering.

Dr. Kalyan P. Kadbhane, DD (Ayush) spoke on the importance of naturopathy while the technical session was delivered by Dr. L. Nivethitha, Professor from the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune, and the webinar concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Nandini, MO (Y&N) moderated by Dr. Anju Jayan, MO (Ayur).

Other events of Naturopathy Day included, an Awareness Talk on ‘Naturopathy Day & its elements’ on 10-11-2025 for ANCOL students emphasized simple practices such as yoga, a balanced diet, and adequate sun exposure for better well-being.

A Naturopathy Health Camp for mothers and children was held on Nov.13 at Anganwadi Centre, New Wandoor. Cleanliness Drive and Barefoot Walk was arranged at New Wandoor Beach in collaboration Gram Panchayat Wandoor with 26 participants. Shri. Adhir Das, Pradhan of Wandoor Gram Panchayat, attended as the Chief Guest. The event promoted community cleanliness and highlighted the benefits of “earthing,” such as improved circulation, posture, and stress relief. A Fancy-Dress Competition for primary school students was conducted at   Ayush Hospital on Nov. 18 with the theme of ‘Elements of Nature’. Participants showcased creativity and confidence through their vibrant costumes and performances.
