
Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 4: A new Centre under the Fit India Football For Schools (F4S) programme was inaugurated today at Girls Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram. The coaching class has been initiated by the Deputy Education Office, South Andaman, to encourage specially girls to actively participate in sports and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Inaugurating the Football Coaching Centre, Shri Vikram Singh, Director (Education & Sports), motivated the students to take part in the coaching sessions with dedication, discipline, and regularity. He also announced that girl students who attend the coaching classes regularly will be gifted new football shoes on New Year’s Day as an encouragement for their commitment. He emphasized that football coaching would not only help in developing physical strength, teamwork, and leadership qualities, but also instill self-confidence and discipline among students.
The F4S football coaching classes will be conducted from 3 PM to 4.30 PM under the supervision of trained physical education teachers, providing students with an opportunity to learn and practice the game systematically.
