Sri Vijaya Puram, May 5: The Organization for South and South East Asia Development (OFSSEAD) is pleased to announce the constitution of its newly elected Governing Body for the term 2026, as approved in the General Body Meeting held on 22 April 2026. The newly elected leadership reflects a strong commitment to social development, community welfare, and inclusive growth across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Sebastian Tirkey has been elected as President, bringing his extensive experience in social work and community leadership to guide the organization. Dr. J. Arockia Raj and Mr. P. Abdul Aziz have been appointed as Vice Presidents, strengthening the executive leadership with their dedication and administrative capabilities. Mr. Mohammed Rafique assumes charge as General Secretary, supported by Mr. Sheikh Mohammed Afzal and Smt. Anbhumalar as Joint Secretaries. The role of Organizing Secretary has been entrusted to Mr. Anwar, while Mrs. Jessy Mathew will serve as Organization Secretary. Financial responsibilities will be overseen by Smt. Nagalaxmi as Treasurer.
Additionally, Ms. G. Prema and Mr. R. Shrinivasan have been inducted as Executive Members, contributing to policy decisions and program implementation. All members of the Governing Body are committed social workers with diverse grassroots experience, ensuring effective execution of OFSSEAD’s mission and objectives.
