Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 8: As part of ‘National Youth Day’ celebration, the Directorate of Education & Sports and the Deputy Education Officer, Wimberlygunj will jointly organize, North Bay Road Marathon 6.0 which is scheduled to be held on Jan. 11 at 6 AM. The event will take place along the scenic route from Chunnabatta to North Bay and back.
The marathon is free for all Islanders as well as school students from the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone, with the categories viz. 10 km Run: Open to all men (Islanders Only); School boys of the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone. 5 km Run: Open to all women (Islanders only) and School girls of the Wimberlygunj Educational Zone. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in each category. Registration will be done on the spot at the venue from 5 am onwards.
