North & Middle Andaman District Police Intensifies Action Against Excise Violations

Mayabunder, July 9: The North & Middle Andaman District Police continues its sustained enforcement drive to ensure strict implementation of the Excise Regulation across the district.

During the week from 29/06/2026 to 05/07/2026, the North & Middle Andaman District Police registered a total of 04 cases under the Excise Regulation during raids conducted at various locations across the district.

During the course of these operations, a total of 75 bottles of IMFL, measuring about 50 litres, were seized from the accused persons. Necessary legal action has been initiated against the accused persons under Regulation 32 of Regulation III of 1876.

The North & Middle Andaman District Police remains committed to taking stringent action against all forms of illegal liquor-related activities and will continue to conduct regular raids and enforcement drives to ensure compliance with the law and maintain public order.

The general public is requested to share any credible information relating to crime or other illegal activities with their nearest Police Station or by calling 100, 112, or 03192-273344. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential, and suitable rewards will be given to those providing credible information leading to detection of offences.
