Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 14: The Dr. S. R. District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Garacharma, celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm, organizing a series of events that highlighted the spirit of joy, creativity, and learning.
As part of the celebration, the official DIET Website was launched, marking a significant step toward strengthening digital access to educational resources, training modules, and professional development materials for teachers and educators across the Islands.
The occasion also featured the inauguration of the National Book Week and a vibrant Art and Craft Exhibition by Smti. Sangeeta Chand, Principal, SIE/DIET. The exhibition showcased the creativity, imagination, and pedagogical skills of the student-teachers, emphasizing the importance of integrating art, culture, and innovation into teacher education. The programme concluded with cultural performances and interactive sessions.
