PS Aberdeen Conducted Two Major Anti-Drug Raids in a Single Day; Two Arrested

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 14: In a determined and well-coordinated effort to curb the drug menace in these Islands, the Police Station Aberdeen carried out two successful raids on 10/12/2025, leading to the arrest of two drug peddlers in separate cases. A total of 07 grams and 11 grams of Methamphetamine was seized during the operations.

On 10/12/2025, acting on credible information, a team was swiftly formed comprising of Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen, SI Bharat, Head Constable Sunil Singh Yadav, Constables P. Mohd. Rafique, Jagdish Babu, Surender Singh Yadav and Anup Majhi. Based on the information, the team rush to the spot and intercepted one car at Lamba line, resulting in the recovery of 07 grams of Methamphetamine from the possession of the driver namely C. Sathya Priyan S/o Shri N. Chandran (26 years) R/o Dairy Farm.

Similarly, another raid was conducted by the same team at Marine Hill near Fisheries Training Centre, leading to recovery of 11 grams of Methamphetamine from the possession of S. Sarat Kumar, S/o Keshvan Sasi, 29 years R/o Nayasahar, Burmanallah. Both accused persons were arrested under relevant sections of NDPS Act 1985 and registered two different cases against accused persons. Both accused were produced before the Hon’ble Court from where they were remanded to Judicial Custody.

The entire operation was conducted under the Command of Shri. Brij Mohan Meena, DANIPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman and overall supervision of Shri Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
