PS Aberdeen Cracks Attempt to Murder Case Within Hours; Accused Nabbed, Weapon Recovered

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 11: Displaying swift action and effective investigation, Police Station Aberdeen successfully solved a brutal attempt to murder case within hours and apprehended accused. In the incident, a private bus driver was grievously attacked with an iron sword near the Aberdeen Bazaar bus stand, allegedly due to a personal dispute.

On 03/07/2025, a complaint has been received at PS Aberdeen regarding a private bus driver was grievously attacked with an iron sword near the Aberdeen Bazaar bus stand. Upon this, an FIR was registered at Police Station Aberdeen and investigation was entrusted to the SI Samiran Mridha. Working Swiftly, a team comprising of HC Sunil, PCs Jairaj, Jagdish Babu and S.S. Yadav were formed to trace the accused. During investigation, the crime scene was examined by the FSL team and critical evidence were collected & seized. Through diligent efforts by the team, accused was successfully located and arrested. Further during interrogation, accused namely R Suriya Kiran Kumar R/o Pathargudda confessed to the crime.

The case was investigated under the command of Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen with the guidance of Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman and overall supervision of Shri Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
