
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 11: Demonstrating unwavering professionalism and dedicated efforts, the team of Police Station Aberdeen successfully cracked two theft cases, recovering the stolen articles and apprehending the accused persons.
On 28/06/2025, two complaints of theft cases were received at PS Aberdeen, in the first complaint, a bag containing a Laptop, cash and important original documents was stolen from STS bus terminus and in second complaint, about 200 tin of Baghban Zarda valued at approx. Rs 32000/- were reported stolen from a Pan shop at Junglighat. Upon receipt of the cases, a team was constituted comprising of SI Abhishek GSP, HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PCs K. Jairaj, Surender Singh Yadav and K. Jagdish Babu. Through diligent efforts, technical surveillance and local intelligence, the team managed to identify and apprehend the culprits in both cases. The sustained efforts led to the arrest of the accused namely Nagraj Muthuswamy, S/o Late Muthu swamy (44) years, R/o Shadipur, who confessed to the theft of a bag containing Laptop, cash and important original documents. Additionally, two CCLs were apprehended for the theft of 200 tins of Baghban Zarda.
The case was investigated under the command of Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen with the guidance of Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman and overall supervision of Shri Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
