PS Aberdeen Nab Drug Peddler with 8.19 Gm Methamphetamine

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 5: In a major crackdown against drug peddling, the Police Station Aberdeen successfully apprehended one individual involved in illegal trade of narcotic drugs and seized 8.19 grams of methamphetamine.

On 03/05/2026, upon credible information regarding trade of methamphetamine by one individual near Chanmari Butt, immediately a raiding team comprising Insp. Vijay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen along with SIs Siva Kumar, Dinesh Kr. Jaiswal, HCs Sunil Singh Yadav, Mohd. Rafique, PCs K. Jagadish Babu, S. S. Yadav, Sandeep Kerketta, S. Roja and Shabaz Ali was formed. The said information was also conveyed to (1) Shri. R Manish S/o Rajendran (25) Yrs R/o Near N K International, Anarkali, Sri Vijaya Puram and (2) Shri.M Satish Kumar S/o M Mookkiah (33) Yrs R/o Atlanta Point, Sri Vijaya Puram and thereby requested them to join the raiding party as independent witnesses.

The team swiftly rushed to the spot and intercepted suspected person namely Mohd. Shakib S/o Sufiyain (23) Yrs R/o New Phargaon, Sri Vijaya Puram on the spot and recovered 8.19 grams of methamphetamine from his possession. The recovered contraband was seized on the spot and accused was arrested after observing all legal formalities.

The entire operation took place under the command of Insp. Vijay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen under the guidance of Shri Deependra Kumar Singh, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman and overall supervision of Smti Niyati Mittal, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
