PS Humfrygunj Solves Double Robbery Case Within 48 Hours, Arrests Three Accused and Recover Stolen Gold

Humfrygunj, June 6: The unwavering commitment of South Andaman District towards zero tolerance against crime, the dedicated team of Police Station Humfrygunj successfully solved two serious cases of assault, snatching and robbery within 48 hours.

On 02/06/2025, Shri John Peter came to Police Station and informed that Naman Kumar @ Bittu, Babar Ali Mallick both R/o Atlanta Point and Manoj @ Babla R/o Nayasahar had manhandled Shri Nipen Sardar near White Coral Bar. Upon this, he intervened to neutralize the situation but he also got beaten by them. Later on, they robbed his and Shri Nipen Sardar gold chains.

Upon this, cases were promptly registered at Police Station Humfrygunj and a team was swiftly constituted led by SI Gaurav Banerjee, SHO PS Humfrygunj alongwith ASIs Santh Glasthus, Tarak Nath, PCs Raja, Ranjit Kumar Verma, Eshan Mondal, Laxmi Rani Mondal, Nupur Sarkar, Abdul Naseer, Pradip Das and Pariya Swamy to conduct search of offenders. On the same day, accused persons Naman Kumar and Babar Ali Mallick were arrested from Atlanta Point, Aberdeen Bazar and another accused Manoj was arrested from Nayasher after observing all codal formalities. The robbed two gold chain, total weighing 27 gms worth Rs 03 lakh approx. were also recovered.

The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of Shri Brij Mohan Meena, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat and overall supervision of Shri Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
