Public Grievance Redressal Programme Organised at Zilla Parishad Community Hall, Nimbutala

Mayabunder, May 15: As part of the ongoing outreach initiative “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore”, a Public Grievance Redressal Programme was organized today at the Zilla Parishad Community Hall, Nimbutala, under the chairmanship of Shri Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman. Shri Deepanshu Vohra, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, along with Heads of Departments and PRI representatives, were also present during the programme.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated the Administration’s commitment towards responsive, transparent and accessible governance. Emphasis was laid on coordinated departmental action, proactive public service delivery and sustained engagement with local communities for effective resolution of grievances.

The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots governance by ensuring effective service delivery and timely redressal of public grievances through direct interaction between the Administration and citizens.

During the Revenue Camp Court conducted as part of the programme, several cases pertaining to sub-division, mutation and correction of names in revenue records were taken up and disposed of on the spot. The programme witnessed enthusiastic public participation, with around 350 attendees including PRI members, Heads of Offices and members of the general public, reflecting strong community engagement and confidence in the initiative.

The District Administration shall continue to expand the “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore” initiative across the remaining villages of North & Middle Andaman District to ensure that government services and grievance redressal mechanisms reach every household in a timely and efficient manner.
