Mayabunder, Nov. 10: As part of the ongoing initiative ‘Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore’, a public grievance redressal programme was organized under the chairmanship of Shri Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman. The programme aims to strengthen service delivery and ensure timely resolution of public grievances at the grassroots level through direct interaction with citizens.
In continuation of this initiative, a one-day Revenue Camp Court was held on Nov. 7 in the Conference Hall of the Administrative Building, Diglipur. The Camp was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (N&M Andaman), in the presence of Shri S. Krishna Chaitanya, Additional District Magistrate (N&MA)/Assistant Commissioner (HQ), and Shri Abhishek Gulia, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur. All Heads of Offices under the Diglipur Sub-Division participated in the session, addressing public issues and ensuring prompt redressal.
During the Revenue Camp Court, a range of Sub-Division cases were taken up and disposed of on the spot. Several name correction, diversion, and mutation cases were resolved and updated in the Revenue Records. Additionally, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) was issued for the construction of a retaining wall.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 500 participants, including PRIs, Heads of Departments, and members of the general public. The camp proved to be an effective platform for on-the-spot resolution of long-pending issues, thereby promoting transparency, accountability, and accessibility in the Revenue Administration process.
Continuing the outreach efforts under the same initiative, on Nov. 8 the Deputy Commissioner, along with the Heads of Departments, visited eight villages under the Diglipur Sub-Division — namely Rabindrapally, Krishnapuri, Madhupur, R.K. Gram, D.B. Gram, V.S. Pally, Arial Bay, and Keralapuram. The District Administration conducted door-to-door interactions with residents to understand their issues first-hand and facilitated on-the-spot solutions through the concerned line Departments. This initiative will be extended to all remaining villages across the district in the coming months.
The ‘Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore’ initiative continues to strengthen the connection between the Administration and the citizens, ensuring that governance and services reach every doorstep in the North & Middle Andaman District.
