Mayabunder. May 15: A solemn oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected Adhyaksh and Up-Adhyaksha of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman was held yesterday at Pokhadera Community Hall, Mayabunder. The Oath of Office and Secrecy was administered by Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman.
Shri R. Alagar Swamy, newly elected Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman, and Smt. Arpona Roy, newly elected Up-Adhyaksha of Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman, took oath in the presence of the Additional District Magistrate, officials of the District Administration and Zilla Parishad, all Zilla Parishad Members, and members of the general public.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the newly elected representatives and expressed hope that they would work collectively for the welfare and development of the people of North & Middle Andaman District.
