Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 30: A review meeting to assess the progress of works sanctioned under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) during the 17th and 18th Lok Sabha was held today in the Mini Conference Hall, Secretariat, in the presence of the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray and Commissioner-cum-Secretary (APWD).
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Secretary (SVPMC), Chief Engineer (APWD), Director (Transport) and other senior officers and officials of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
During the meeting, the progress of all works sanctioned under the 18th Lok Sabha and the status of pending works pertaining to the 17th Lok Sabha were reviewed in detail. The implementing agencies were directed to expedite the execution and completion of all pending works within the stipulated timelines. Emphasis was laid on ensuring timely completion of the projects so that the intended benefits of the developmental works reach the public at the earliest.
