Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 11: The Rotary Club of Port Blair NextGen extended its support to the residents of ULHAAS – Women Old Age Home, Atam Pahad, by donating individual almirahs for each inmate on 10/12/2025. This initiative reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to enhancing dignity, comfort, and quality of life for senior citizens in the community.
Club President Shri Mandeep Grewal and Secretary Shri Vignesh, accompanied by dedicated Rotarians, personally visited the old age home to hand over the almirahs. The team also spent meaningful time interacting with the inmates, listening to their stories, and sharing moments of warmth and companionship.
Speaking about the initiative, President Mandeep Grewal emphasized the club’s mission: “Rotary stands for service above self, and today’s gesture is a small step toward ensuring our elders feel cared for, respected, and supported.”
The Caretaker of ULHAAS expressed deep appreciation for the thoughtful contribution, noting that the almirahs will greatly help the residents in securely organizing their personal belongings.
